Medals

I've heard on the news this week that Canada does not think they will win these Olympic games but still want to achieve a certain goal. Their goal is to win between 28-34 medals and right now we have a total of twelve which isn't a bad start. I think and hope we will reach our goal. The United States on the other hand is doing very well with 26 medals, followed by Germany with 24. Good Luck to all athletes.

Mike Robertson Silver Medal Men's Snowboard Cross

I was watching the Olympic updates in snowboarding and it was really nice. Mike Robertson (Canadian athlete) and the American gold medalist side by side after the last turn and barely a hundred metres left to the race. It was amazing, the crowd was going crazy. Finally, performing as good as he could until the end, Mike took in the silver medal. Another medal for Canada!

Olympics opening ceremony

I really liked the way the 2010 Vancouver Olympics were presented on Friday night. You can see that its more than just sports. Its a reunion of different cultures from all over the world sharing the same passion and living the most wonderful moment of their lives together.
